This morning I finally maxed out on engineering – woot! The guide I was following only indicated 1x Spirit of Harmony to level out the Pandaria requirement but that was dependant on whether I had any more spirits at my disposal. This ‘cheaper’ option forces you to make in excess of 20 something Thermal Anvils which happened to be the route I took with my pali but I definitely didn’t want to go down that road again.

Months later, I’m still left with 13 anvils so it was an easy decision to go the other way. It’s just a shame my bags were struggling with the overflow of mats. Just as well I also have a guild bank to use although if you saw it right now, you’d think a bomb had exploded.

The day I decided to drop enchanting for engineering involved a quick look through my bag to see what I could safely destroy. This consisted of a very short list indeed – my 400 and something dinosaur bones and my 4x Spirits of Harmony. Funnily enough, I ended up needing 6x Spirits of Harmony which proved more difficult to procure, once I realised the need for them.

Yesterday, I spent quite a bit of time trying to accumulate enough motes so I could complete my last 19 points of engineering. After making ONE Thermal Anvil for one point, I had to think of a good way to farm a lot more. I had already completed the Troves of the Thunder King scenario so I queued up for the last section of SoO but didn’t walk out with any (although I did get a weapon upgrade finally).

I also tried fishing up some Sealed Crates at the Darkmoon Faire but there weren’t many crates to be found. I resorted to farming mobs on the Timeless Isle and planting Songbell Seeds for a guaranteed harvest. At 3am, I was able to make Lord Blastington’s Scope of Doom closely followed by a Long-Range Trillium Sniper. With 9 points left to go, I typed up a game ticket asking for the return of my 4x Spirits of Harmony. Thankfully they were waiting in the mail as soon as I logged in this afternoon so I made another scope and Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling to finish.

So to celebrate my newest engineer, I’d like to find a home for my Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling. I realise this isn’t a new pet for many but for the few who don’t have one, let’s see what kind of creativity this could generate.

All you have to do is come up with a short story or image (may be painted/drawn) featuring the pet, myself and your toon. Don’t forget to leave your toon name and server with your entry.

Feel free to email your entries (particularly if it’s an image). I will post all the entries on 16 March giving you a week to get an entry in.

Please limit your entries to one.

Good Luck!
