I have hunted and collected all of the rare hunter pets and my love for the thrill of the hunt happened by accident. I tamed an odd looking mountain lion when I was questing in Southshore back in the days near the end of vanilla I think.. It turns out I got Araga and wasn’t even paying attention.

I must have gotten 50+ /whispers with folks
offering gratsies! It’s a shame they normalized her skin :( but my love for the hunter camping and solo tames took off from there. Thanks for sharing and I can’t wait to see what the new MoP rares will be!

The whole first half of your post really makes me regret not having had a hunter back before everything was changed. Some of those low level rares were just so incredibly unique, unfortunately I played a priest back then and missed them…gah! Haha, and being told you have the best pet in the game by a gm….how awesome is that?!

I’m glad your King Krush story ended well. I’ve only ever heard of stories as horrible as what happened to you the first time you encountered him, luckily I’ve never encountered an act so heinous while trying to tame anything before and hope I never do. It makes me sad to think that people can be so very inconsiderate.

I’m glad I was able to push you off on your trip down memory lane! ;)
