If the players wanted to come by and help me off the baddies, I’d be able to move forward along a preset patrol path, and should I reach the end I’ll become a vendor that sells a limited quantity of ONE random item. It would be any item that exists in game. No idea what it is. But you can buy it for 1g if you get me to the end of my patrol route. It could be ANYTHING. a mount, a pet, a random grey vendor trash item, a stack of herbs, whatever.
