This week, WoW Insider posted their own transmog contest. I didn’t even know about this until I saw a post from Töki so I sent in my entry based on one of my old tranmogs just before the deadline.
Create a transmogrification outfit of your own that builds on or complements a single piece of gear (armor or weapon) that you like. Submit your outfit by Aug. 20 at 11:59 p.m. EDT and you’ll have the chance to win fabulous prizes and have your outfit featured here on WoW Insider.
Shadow Pirate
Head: First Mate Hat
Shoulder: Mantle of Prophecy
Chest: Cindercloth Vest
Waist: Spellfire Belt
Hands: Infernoweave Gloves
Legs: Crimson Silk Pantaloons
Feet: Infernoweave Boots
Weapon: Siphoning Dagger
Off-Hand: Petrified Camel Haunch
This outfit was my shadow set for a while, but for the purposes of this contest, I used the First Mate Hat as the feature piece.
It just so happened I was helping Beldarian in Uldum recently when I spotted a chest in one of the ruins. Little did I realise, the Petrified Camel Haunch I previewed would be used in my current transmog and backup entry for the Dath’remar fashion show in April.
The prizes will be loot card codes from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game.
But in the words of Dawn Moore, may the best transmog win!
Now back to waiting for the next Mogolympics results.
This is a great use of the Cindercloth Vest. I like how it adds a bit of flair to the ensemble!
Good luck with the contest, don’t forget to finish eating that turkey leg you got there! =D
Thx Cyn :)
@Arv – I’ll get right on that! :P
Which legs are those? Can’t decide if they’re the Crimson Silk pants or the … dagnabit, there’s a red silk quest reward hordeside that looks more like that.
@Tome/Kam – Thx Ladies :)
@Cyn – Shit, forgot the legs in the description. Yep, they are the crimson silk ones :) Another set for the collection then? :P
That Cymre is such a swashbuckler! Good luck!
You look like a Pirate Queen in that set! The Prophecy shoulders with the Cindercloth vest is a fabulous combination. :D
Eek, maybe I should start posting about it when I see a transmog contest around, in advance! I sort of assumed you knew. ):
I also submitted a pirate (submitted three designs in total, two of which were recycled, haha) but yours looks much more awesome!
I do wonder when the results will be posted. I’m hoping they’ll make a gallery of all the submissions, too. Good luck!
Another inspiring Transmog. This one really shows how you can start with one piece and work from there! I really need to get working on something I could be proud of.
@Töki – No worries. Good luck with yours :)
@Kall – Thx so much :D
