I don’t think there’s any time or weather requirements – I picked one up in the middle of a Saturday afternoon in good weather. I do think that because of the pent-up demand that they’re being farmed pretty heavily, so finding one is going to be a factor of luck or patience for the time being. Once the majority of aggressive hunters have theirs though, I expect it’ll be pretty easy to find.

Argh! My goal for today is to get one of these. However, the login server is broken! I *was* able to get a Restless Shadeling after midnight on Halloween in the cellars of Karazhan. That got me the Eastern Kingdom achievement. Now I just need a single pet from Storm Peaks and I’ll have the meta achievement.

Congratulations! After reading your post I flew there hopefully – but wasn’t able to find any. I did, however, manage to get two robo pets that I hadn’t caught yet – worth the trip anyway! :)

Heya. I found them last night (after 11pm UK time, so gone midnight EU server time) and tweeted to Warcraft Pets in my excitement – they passed it on to the wider community :)

I flew around for hours battling every owl I saw but got nothing better than a common one :(

I decided to try again this morning (about 10am server time) and it would seem that they had all gone to bed for the day because I only found one little late bird. Will try again when it gets dark this evening.

Well done on getting yours and happy to have done my bit for the pet collecting community!

Grats Cymre!! I saw the Facebook post from Warcraftpets about them and went for a look too, since I love owls. I found quite a few this morning around 8am, and captured a rare. They’re pretty things.
