Yay, I did it! Today I levelled my 75th pet to 25 which rewards the Singing Cricket Cage. I feel like I can relax now. I mean. what an effort. At first, I levelled them depending on what I needed for the tamers but then it came down to which lowbie I needed to power-level. At one stage, I was boosting two lower-level pets with one max-level one so I ended up doing a lot of trial and error matches.

In the end, I chose my favourite ones who didn’t necessarily have unique skills or those I could use a flawless stone on. By far the most time-consuming matches were the spirit tamers but when I could, I would battle every single one on the continent – eleven in total. That didn’t happen very often though. The amount of XP you get for levelling one pet was quite insane, depending on which tamer you battle. The amount varies but it’s usually between 3K and 5K – just don’t forget your Safari Hat!

In the last couple of weeks, I’ve received a number of Flawless generic and family Battle-Stones so I’ve concentrated on getting those pets up first.

I wasn’t content on stopping there though as I was only four away from getting Rookie Pet Crew. After my earlier achievement, I still had one Flawless Elemental Battle-Stone which I was saving for my Tiny Snowman but since the big achievement was out-of-the-way, I could just boost any pets that were needed. Woot!

I think I’ll take my time on getting the next one though… and there’s still the Darkmoon Eye to get. Good luck to everyone that needs one.

By the way, does anyone know the equivalent pick-up quest for Captain Jack’s Head on Alliance side? He’s an elite 85 mob in the Jade Forest.
