This week’s shared topic was brought to you by me.

What is your absolute favourite profession in WoW? Why do you love it above all others and what is one feature you would add to the profession if you could?

Being a Blood Elf who likes her bling, you may think Jewelcrafting but this was a no-brainer for me since I’ve loved the thought of Archaeology ever since it was revealed as a new secondary profession. If you’ve followed my numerous adventures in search of the unfamiliar, I hope I’ve given some insight into some of the cooler aspects of the game.

After the Cataclysm, I was eager to uncover all the new pets and mounts the profession had to offer; so much so that I completed the Scepter of Azj’Aqir twice while searching for the Vial of the Sands recipe.

Fast forward to Mists and I was excited about the possibility of discovering all sorts of lost treasures and riches of Pandaria. I was so excited about getting my Relic Hunter title ASAP, I wasn’t aware it had become the topic of discussion until I had a random whisper one afternoon. I would love to know if I were the first on the server as it’s an activity that’s been close to my heart for a long time now. I even had a few people ask me for locations and such after noticing my title and staff.

Now with the ability to display our artifacts in the Seat of Knowledge and with the introduction of our own homes on the farm (which is probably the closest thing we’ll have to player housing) makes me wish we had the ability to display or store our other knick-knacks in either location. Can you imagine being able to collect all the novelty items in the game and then store them for safekeeping? Kind of like Void Storage but not charging for the service. Think about it. You’d be able to pick them up and have a play or carry them around whenever you please. Talk about a space-saver. To illustrate, just look at the list of novelty items I’ve accumulated to date.

So tell me, what’s your favourite profession and why?
