The new Recruit A Friend program is back with some mounts and pets previously removed or unavailable until now. I’m not sure if it’s just me but I’m more excited about the X-53 Touring Rocket. I know, right? I usually like to collect ALL THE PETS but I’ve always loved that rocket. The fact that recruiters now have a choice of reward – choosing any of the ones below – is a great incentive to invite new friends to Azeroth.

Just open up your Social (O) tab in-game and click on the ‘Recruit a Friend’ icon located at the top right of the window (right next to the Scroll of Resurrection).

Mounts

Emerald Hippogryph

  • Swift Zhevra: Zebra ground mount. The original RAF reward which was removed during Wrath.
  • X-53 Touring Rocket: Two-seater flying rocket mount introduced in Wrath and retired at end of Cataclysm.
  • Heart of the Nightwing: Two-seater flying panther mount introduced at end of Cataclysm.
  • Emerald Hippogryph: New hippogryph flying mount introduced in Mists of Pandaria.

Pets

Recruit a Friend pets

  • Golden Pig (Critter) Breed: H/P (formerly available on Chinese servers for the 2008 New Year’s Celebration).
Hoof, Crouch, Uncanny Luck, Diseased Bite, Buried Treasure, Headbutt
  • Silver Pig (Critter) Breed: H/P (formerly available on Chinese servers for the 2008 New Year’s Celebration).
Hoof, Crouch, Uncanny Luck, Diseased Bite, Buried Treasure, Headbutt
  • Jade Tiger (Magic) Breed: B/B (gift given on Chinese servers after the servers went offline for several months).
Jade Claw, Rake, Devour, Pounce, Jadeskin, Prowl
  • Zipao Tiger (Magic) Breed: H/H (formerly a Taiwanese server promotion pet).
Onyx Bite, Rake, Devour, Pounce, Stoneskin, Prowl

I had the opportunity to try three of the pets on the PTR which are all uncommon. Both pig and cat abilities are very similar so two battles weren’t really needed as skilled pet battlers have seen many of these abilities already.

Not sure if I’ll collect any of these pets or mounts at this stage.

Anyone planning on collecting these? If so, which ones?
