I was expecting to see more easter eggs but I’ll probably notice more at the second screening. I know lore fans will have quite a few issues and would have liked more screentime for some of the other races too. Something for the DVD or Director’s Cut maybe – like that troll scene I heard about. Hope to see that extra 40mins of footage somehow.

I thought it was really cool to see some of the places come to life – Stormwind, Ironforge, and the Dark Portal looked amazing!

However, I thought the movie itself was pretty terrible. Script, story, acting. Bleh. A lot of bad decision making, plot device characters, and a awful attempt to shoehorn in a romance. I hope if they make more of these that they focus on something other than orcs and humans. I was really hoping to see some other characters but the handful of draenei and elves only got about 4 seconds of screentime. That was disappointing.

I also thought the movie could have used more nods to fans. I liked the funny fan-servicey bits like the murloc and wish there were more of them. I also fond myself constantly wishing something cool would happen in Karazhan. Like a dinner party and Moroes vanishing and coming back to stab people, or that golem turning into Maiden of Virtue.
