Located on the eastern-most part of Northrend, you’ll be sure to find breathtaking mountains, cliffs, and fortresses. Like Borean Tundra, it’s an alternate starting zone for players, introducing them to a variety of factions and lore plots. However, it is considered more challenging to level in this zone because of the steep mountains and windy paths between quest objectives compared to the flat plains of Borean Tundra.
Alliance players learn about the reawakened vrykul, the prototype for humans, while Horde players assist the Forsaken in developing a new plague to defeat the Lich King. Both sides also assist the Tuskarr in putting the spirits of their ancestors to rest, as well as aiding a group of eclectic pirates.

King Ping – a cute penguin located on the western iceblocks by Kamagua.

Vigdis the War Maiden – a vrykul warrior that rides an imposing black protodrake to the east of Nifflevar.

Perobas the Bloodthirster – a worgen prototype, lurks in the foothills in the northern part of the zone.
A penguin! I never knew there was a rare penguin there. I need to go back and see if I can see him, maybe go up to the lake and try again for my rare fish achievement.
