Three Noodle Carts were added in Patch 5.4.

To begin, pick up the broken sign tablet amongst the rubble of the broken bridge (northeast of Mossgreen Lake) on the Timeless Isle. Note that you won’t be able to pick up this quest if you haven’t done at least the initial training quests from each Way of Cooking trainer in Halfhill.

The tablet starts a quest Noodle Secrets Long Forgotten which sends you in a search of Lin – the owner of the fragment. From there, you need to clear a couple of dungeons to find more clues and collect ingredients.

Here is the series of quests you’ll need to complete:

  2. The Lost Secret of the Secret Ingredient
  3. Bad Feeling, Worse Result
  4. Secrets Lost, Forever?
    Secrets Lost, Forever?
  5. Catch and Carry
  6. Is That A Real Measurement?
  7. These Aren’t Your Fatty Goatsteaks
  8. The Secret Ingredient Is…

The last step involves a solo scenario which was quite fun to complete. Three types of customers require three types of noodle soup. Successfully serving these customers the right type of soup before five leave unsatisfied will see you completing the objective in no time.

The Simple Ingredient Is

The basic things to remember:

Scholars (blue robes) prefer the common cheap soup (Button 1);
Merchants (dark clothes) prefer a tastier soup (Button 2 with fish);
Farmers (red checked shirt and straw hat) prefer a meaty soup to replenish their strength (Button 3).

Once you’ve completed the scenario, you can do it again as a daily with a bonus objective. Completing both nets you two extra Ironpaw Tokens per day. This is where your rep grind with Nomi comes in as you’ll be using her gifts for the Pandaren Treasure Noodle Cart.

Each cart turns your character into an NPC with a Chef’s Hat, a Rolling Pin, and a Frying Pan which displays your cart in front of you. As an NPC you’ll sell one of three soups to go with the cart:

As long as the cart is active, your toolbar is replaced by the vehicle UI and the following abilities:

Wave: Displays a message to your selected target that is multilingual (so any race will understand you)

With Target: “Hey there,<Target Name>. Won’t you try some of my hot noodle soup?”
Without Target: “Get your Noodle Soup here!”

Cook: Your character will perform the cooking animation for a few seconds.
Dance: Your character will perform the /dance animation for a few seconds.
Fireworks: Launches fireworks from your noodle cart. The fireworks vary depending on which noodle cart is currently active.

So after all that, is anyone for some Noodle Soup?
