Over the last six months, I’ve created a number of sets around the WoW classic robes. This challenge provided the much-needed motivation to complete the project I had started over two years ago. At times, it proved quite challenging because it required more than piecing a bunch of mutually coloured pieces together. However, to stay true to the concept, I tried to make the sets as monochromatic as possible while keeping to a certain theme. This was quite difficult with current in-game limitations since we can’t just dye a piece of armour like Diablo III.
The most difficult colour ended up being the last which was ironic since my indigo kit (created early on) didn’t get used. In the end, I was pretty happy with them, even with an indigo/violet combo. I even managed to tie first place for blue which was a nice surprise, winning a fully grown Grubbs for my trouble.
It’s hard not to feel sexy wearing one of these and with transmogrification, they’ve become more than just a dress for special occasions. I had lots of fun designing kits around this collection of showstoppers so if you’d like to see more, just pick a dress below.
