Last year, I debated whether I should buy StarCraft II: the Complete Trilogy for the 2 pets I didn’t have. Namely, Mini Thor from Wings of Liberty and the Archon pet from the new expansion. At the time, I couldn’t justify buying the whole collection when I’d already paid half so paying another AUD$129.95 when I’d already paid $64.90 seemed a bit extreme.

A few days ago, they introduced saving of up to 50% on any Starcraft II campaign but since the Trilogy wasn’t included, I wasn’t too interested. It turns out, if you own all three standard games (as a minimum), you can buy the trilogy at a discounted price. In my case, I just needed to buy the standard version of the new expansion – Legacy of the Void.

Once I had done that, I was eligible for a further discount.

This turned out to be another $50 compared to the $129.95 I would have paid outright so I ended up saving almost $40 this way. The latest Dark Legacy couldn’t have been more relevant (according to Coolidge) a few days ago.

Now to wait for those key codes…

In the meantime, I’m off to level some pets.
